1) Heavenly Father, You established your Kingdom - here in the chaos of your world - through your Son – Jesus Christ - may His presence and truth – which is everlasting be ours for ever
Teach us to understand - that you believe in us totally – enough to die for us –
Teach us to trust in You even though we cannot see the way ahead –
Food us with your love today - so that we might first love you – and then live for You –

2nd Sunday before Advent
1) Heavenly Father, You have established your throne - here within the chaos of your qorld - may your truth – which is everlasting be ours for ever –
Help us to recognize the colours of your kingdom – to live a life of faithfulness and love – revealed to us by your Son Jesus Christ - serving you always in His name.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN
2) Heavenly Father, we thank you for your Son Jesus Christ whom you sent into this world to save us from our sins and to proclaim the way of salvation and truth to all who believe in Him.
Grant us your people to walk in His light. To see more clearly the true majesty and power that He brings. To choose your way and to trust in His presence. To realise that in Christ we can overcome everything.
Come Lord Jesus come, and possess our hearts. Give us wisdom to perceive thee, diligence to seek thee, patience to wait for thee, eyes to behold thee, a heart to meditate upon thee and a life to proclaim thee. May we choose the way of love, through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN

1) Heavenly Father, in days past you spoke through the mouths of your prophets but today you speak through your Son Jesus Christ whom you sent into this world to save us from our sins and to proclaim the way of salvation and truth to all who believe in Him.
Grant us your people to walk in His light. To hear and believe the truth of His words
Come Lord Jesus come, and possess our hearts. Give us wisdom to perceive thee, diligence to seek thee, patience to wait for thee, eyes to behold thee, a heart to meditate upon thee and a life to proclaim thee. Help us to be your prophets of today and as we prepare to celebrate your coming amongst help us to grow closer and closer towards your loving heart. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN
2) Almighty God, Our heavenly Father, we praise and give you thanks for the gift of your Son Jesus Christ. Through Him your light has shone in our darkened world. This Christmas, help us to prepare and respond to the coming of your Son with love. Help us to be faithful, obedient and to prayerfully depend on the power of your Holy Spirit. We pray that His light may be our guide, His presence our defense and His love our strength and inspiration

For the times when we have been aware of your generosity
For the times when we have been aware of your love and your grace
We thank you for them now ………
Help us to grow closer and closer to your loving heart

4) Lord God we praise you and give you thanks for the gift of your Son Jesus Christ, through Him your light has shone in our darkened world. Help us to be watchful and faithful to Him as we celebrate His coming again into our lives. May He find us not sleeping in sin - but active in His service and joyful in His praise. Lord hear us, Lord mercifully hear us
